Financial Management

Goals

The financial management seminar supports managing directors, entrepreneurs and executives of Georgian companies with basic financial knowledge to increase their skills in financial management and controlling, successfully perform financial leadership and thereby reduce financial risks.

With numerous practical exercises and case studies from SMEs, the theoretical knowledge acquired in this seminar is put into practice immediately. With the ultimate aim that each participant will create a company cockpit with decision-critical figures and (financial) information relevant to their own company.

  • My personal relationship to money and dealing with finances
  • Financial management as a management tool and success factor in the company
  • Added-value creation as the core objective of a company and engine of the Georgian economy
  • Corporate cockpit: Using selected (financial) information and key figures to implement the corporate strategy in day-to-day business in a target-oriented manner
  • (Plan) Profit and Loss Statement: Planning and analysing cash flows in the company (income structure, expense structure, income and cost development, target/actual comparison)
  • Balance sheet: Role of the balance sheet in the company, balance sheet structure, relationship between balance sheet and income statement
  • Balance sheet analysis: Financing ratios (equity ratio, debt ratio), coverage ratios (fixed assets coverage 1&2)
  • Liquidity: Liquidity planning and management, reserve funds for unforeseeable expenses, liquidity ratios in the balance sheet (cash ratio, quick ratio, current ratio)
  • Investment planning: Principles for analysing, evaluating and implementing investment projects
  • Break-even calculation: How to find the break-event point and ensure cost-covering production for mass products
  • Costing: Using overhead costing to determine cost-covering sales prices in companies with one-off or made-to-order production

Questions of interest to the participants can be asked throughout the seminar. To ensure this, we are deliberately keeping small seminar groups.
