Khatuna Artsividze is an economist by profession, an expert in the field of technology, and the Deputy Director of the American International School – Progress. She has many years of experience working with children. Her great love for children and in-depth knowledge of their interests became the motive for Ms. Khatuna to create a children's camp where children will reveal and develop the skills that they cannot get at school. KINDERLAB is a place where children become future entrepreneurs and innovators.
- How did your business story begin, what motivated you?
Working in schools, I meet a lot of children, I constantly observe them and try to determine what they need for development. Based on my observations, I initially decided to establish an international innovation lab, the goal of which would be to equip the next generation with 21st century skills (science, entrepreneurship, technology, creativity).
I made my wish a reality, but due to the pandemic, we were soon locked in our homes. Then my grandson became my biggest motivator. Due to online learning, his communication skills decreased so much that he changed and lost his motivation to study. The same problem was evident with other children, so we decided to go to camps. This is how I created the space that every child needs – greenery, a healthy environment, new relationships and directions for the correct use of technology… This has been going on for four years now. Every time I meet children gifted with different talents, and I am very happy about it.

- The path from the beginning to the present, expectations and reality…
Working with children is associated with great responsibility. I had understood this well. It is necessary to constantly take into account their wishes and interests. At first, we operated only in the format of summer camps. After the camp ended, the children still wanted to continue their relationship with each other, so we decided to add weekend and winter camps and workshops. The sad reality remains that Georgian parents do not share the importance of camps. They think about their children's high academic grades, for which they choose tutors. They fail to take into account that today's children are representatives of the digital generation and other approaches are needed to increase their motivation for learning. Accordingly, we have to work a lot in this direction.

- Why your product/service? What makes you unique?
Based on my experience, I know exactly what children do not get from school and what they need for development and motivation. The camp program is designed in such a way that it helps to discover individuality in adolescents aged 7-15. The skills acquired with us help children discover their own hobbies, arouse great interest in various subjects and show them the need for choosing a future profession. Moreover, we continue our relationship with children after returning home in the form of weekend camps. Participation in our camp is a pleasant adventure for a child.

Having an idea and starting your own business doesn't mean much, what matters is how you develop it, and BPN Georgia made that possible for me. BPN Georgia is my business supporter, friend, and coach, who has helped me grow quite a bit in a very short period of time.
- The main message from you entrepreneurs…
Never stop at what you have achieved...
