Werner is a true master of chocolate, having successfully managed a business for years, which combines two confectionery production facilities, eight points of sale and three restaurants, employing a total of 125 people. From active business, Mr. Rugzeger moved to consulting for 5 years and, together with his wife, Mrs. Mitsiu Rugzeger, successfully runs Swiss Candy Consulting. He is a member of the Swiss Confectioners' Association and, along with practical knowledge, has 23 years of teaching experience. That is why his visit was very interesting for the Georgian confectionery company "Chirifruti", in whose factory the Rugzeger couple spent a whole week. He shared his experience and the main recipes for the success of Swiss chocolate with Georgian entrepreneurs. As they say in Chirifrut, the cooperation was very fruitful, they also received advice related to production (for example, they learned how to create new products, Florentine and caramelized nuts, got acquainted with different technologies for making candied fruits), they also discussed Chirifrut's further development strategy. Completely new perspectives opened up for the Georgian enterprise, for example, access to quality raw material procurement channels, the opportunity to purchase the necessary equipment. The guest also presented a new vision in the direction of sales strategy, how to create not only good chocolate, but also how to deliver it to the consumer, so that he loves tasting your product as much as you love making it.
"Chocolate is not food for the stomach," says Werner, smiling. "Chocolate is food for the soul. It should be eaten in moderation. Only then can it bring both benefits and true pleasure."
As part of the visit, the Rugzeger couple also visited BPN Georgia, where they met with food producers. The conversation touched on HACCP standards, quality control, and compliance with hygiene norms, and the guest tried to share his experience with the audience of the business professionals network.
