Seth Godin speaking about marketing, leadership, and creative thinking

Seth Godin (1960) is an American entrepreneur, writer, marketing specialist , and speaker. He is the author of 17 books on marketing, advertising, business, and leadership. Most of them, especially All Marketers Lie, Purple Cow, and Unleashing the Idea Virus, have become bestsellers.

He graduated from the Faculty of Computer Science and Philosophy. Later, he completed a Master's Degree in Business Administration at Stanford.

With $20,000 in savings, he started a company that made book packaging materials and operated it out of his apartment. He later sold the company to his own employees, and in 1995 he founded a new firm, Yoyodyne, whose goal was to promote innovative ideas to reach a target audience. Among his clients were Volvo, Microsoft, and Sony Music. A few years later, Yahoo! bought the company and appointed Godin as vice president of marketing.

Godin later founded Squidoo.com, a portal where users can share links and information about their ideas. Godin believes that the world's information should be accessible to everyone and start a global conversation about business and marketing in which everyone can actively participate. This site is one of the most popular sites in the world.

Godin always emphasizes in his books the crucial role of marketing and proper customer relations in business success. Many entrepreneurs focus as much as possible on production processes and product quality, and the factor of orientation on marketing and customer needs, which is achieved through intensive customer relations, remains out of focus.

In the modern digital era, the best way to interact with customers and get feedback from them is through digital media . Therefore, it is important to pay close attention to the role of media in the development of our business.
